BRADFORD, PA., August 25, 2018 – Stone Sour, the three-time Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling rock band, will be performing a three-song acoustic Zippo Session performance live in Bradford from the Zippo/Case Museum on Friday, August 31. The Zippo Sessions event is free and open to the public.
Stone Sour’s Zippo Sessions will begin at 2:15 p.m. The music continues with Tiny Music, the nationally touring STP tribute band, and Reverbnation.com’s Buffalo rock chart topper, Afraid of Human, keeping the event going until 6 p.m.
Stone Sour is currently on tour, hitting the U.S. in support of their recent hit album Hydrograd, the deluxe edition of which drops the same day as the Zippo Session performance in Bradford.
Fans can begin lining up in the Zippo/Case Museum field at 9 a.m. for general admission. Gates open at 2 p.m. Fans will be given access on a first come, first served basis. Space is extremely limited.
“We’re bringing the full Zippo Encore experience to our home town,” said Lucas Johnson, Senior Brand Manager. “It’s been incredible to have Zippo out on tour with Stone Sour, and we are extremely excited to welcome the entire band to Bradford for a once in a lifetime Zippo Sessions event.”
Fans can enter to win an autographed guitar at inside the museum. Zippo’s Metal Ambassador Jose Mangin will be on hand for a meet and greet from 3-3:30 p.m. The Zippo prize wheel will also be on site, giving fans the opportunity to win Zippo swag. Flickerwood winery and Straub Brewery will be onsite offering tastings and purchases, along with CJ’s BBQ food truck.
Hydrograd, the new album from Stone Sour, rocketed onto the charts this past June, debuting at #1 on three Billboard charts: “Top Current Albums,” “Top Rock Albums,” and “Top Hard Rock Albums.” Hydrograd also debuted at #8 on the “Billboard 200,” marking the band’s fifth consecutive Top 10 debut on that chart. Furthermore, the album debuted at #5 in the U.K. (the band's highest debut ever in that country), #2 in Australia (highest debut ever), and was Top 5 in Germany, Japan, and Switzerland.
